True - Jerry Goldsmith created more memorable movie themes than pretty much anyone, even John Williams.

I agree Hannibal, I reckon Jerry Goldsmith's soundtracks have been much more interesting than John Williams', although I'm a big JW fan too. I have quite a few Goldsmith Soundtracks so maybe I'll dig a few out and post them.
I played the hell out of this album when I was a kid, but only now do I realize how few different melodies there were to this score! Way cool to this day, though -- thanks for letting me hear it again.
