Nelson Riddle - Communication (1973)

Thanks for all the messages, I've decided to carry on for as long as I can, but remember to grab these quick before they get gone!

This really is one of my favourite albums and along with Changing Colours is something I listen to again and again.  Time and Space is particularly fantastic.

Now that these files have been taken down you'll obviously have to go into your nearest record store and stock up on all the Kookie Freeman, Manuel and Graham Dalley CDs that are littering the shelves!

It's a shame that because of our friendly little Web Sheriffs like Jodi "and co", this music will never be heard by more than a handful of us lucky enough to own the records.

I think that's probably it for me now, it all seems a little pointless...

Pete Wilson And His Quintet - Dance Party (1965)

If you're having a cocktail party tonight, here's something to make the party "swing".  Or not.

Enoch Light - Discotheque Volume 2 (1965)

I was talking to someone from the States recently about Enoch Light.  Being English (not my fault!) and living here in the England, Enoch Light albums are pretty few and far between, so it's always nice to stumble across one.  Also, his music always sounds so vibrant, exciting and exotic to me.

Anyway, this is a nice one and features tracks that are a little different from the norm.  Some of the tracks seem to end suddenly, don't worry, it's just that on the album they tend to run into each other.  Play them in sequence and you'll see what I mean.  Have a nice Wednesday.

Mike Sammes Singers - Sounds Sensational (1965)

Here's the other vocal album I mentioned yesterday.  S2S, so can't be bad!

Don Black Orchestra - Movie Songbook (1970)

I'm not usually a fan of vocal EL albums, but I like this one - and the one I'll be posting tomorrow.   Contains one of my favourite songs, On Days Like These.

Stereo 99 (1968)

I guess this is what they thought we'd be listening to at the end of the 20th century.  Some of us were!

Duncan Lamont - Summer Sambas (1973)

Something else for someone to complain about.

The Hollywood Soundmakers - Great Music From The Films (1968)

What a great LP this is.  It sounds like a few blokes down the pub decided to pop into a studio with their bass, guitar and drums to record an album of Morricone greats.  Fantastic.
