Harry Stoneham - Solid Gold Hammond (1971)

Great album from our man at the BBC.  I'm a big fan of Harry, so there'll be lots more to come.

Another gem.
Thanks for this and I look forward to further Harry Stoneham offerings.
He did quite a few under the Studio Two label

Hi Terence, yes HS did loads of stuff on S2S and other labels. I "think" I have all his stuff, but as I've found in the past there's always something else out there I didn't know about.

He did some wonderful self-penned library music too, which is nigh on impossible to get hold of.

I spent a day with Harry and his wife at a Big Band weekend and he is the nicest bloke you can meet.
His playing is better than ever and he remembers everything he has recorded.

Algy.

Just like the commercial, "Where's The Beef?", I ask: "Where's the link?"
I'd like to give this album a listen, please. Have I missed something on your blog?

Karl, the link is there. Honest! It's in the sentence I wrote underneath the cover. Have a "hover" and you'll discover.

Best, Simon.

Algy, great story! Nice to hear that Harry is still playing live. I'd love to catch him one day.
