Richard Harvey - The Theme From Terrahawks (1983)
For the last year or so I'm been pretty successful in brainwashing my four-year-old son into liking stuff I do. He loves music, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Thunderbirds, Back To The Future, etc. Over the weekend I thought I'd try Terrahawks. He wasn't to impressed with the DVD - and neither was I, to be honest, I'd forgotten how much it had dated - but he loved the theme tune, so I dug my 12" single out and encoded it for your listening pleasure.
OK, so Richard Harvey is no Barry Gray, but this is the beginning of the 80s and is a theme very much of its time.
Apologies as there is a slight jump but it doesn't detract too much.

I have to agree with you.
This one was a bit too "over the top" for a four year old.
Not one of Anderson's best but the theme was interesting.
Thanks for the post.
Continue this beautiful content, put to my personal chrome rss.
My gods! Terrahawks! Theme! I must admit I hated the series..a little to imperialist for my emerging teenage anarchist sensibilities at the time....
fast forward 28 years and I seem to have developed a strange obsession for seventies/eighties space/alien/future/robots/time travel electronic music and one of the greatest sources apart from 70s disco and 80s electro is kids tv themes from the same years....
From UK kids themes like Children Of The Stones, Chocky, Tomorrow People to weird Japanese TV animation series its a rich seam to mine...must admit I find the 'variations' version on the flipside a little more interesting but as an addition to my mp3 collection this is great so huge thanks for sharing this ultra-rare record...great quality rip as well...*much applause*
