Birds 'N Brass - Soundsational (1970)

The brainchild of Keith Roberts, Birds 'N Brass derived their unique sound from conventional brass, guitar, etc and fused this with the wonderful voice of Barbara Moore (an album from her coming over the weekend) and with the Trivox, a weird electronic accordion.

Birds 'N Brass released one more album in 1973; which is just as good.  I'll try and post that soon.

Porbably the finest album released on the legendary Rediffusion label.

American Woman and Sort Of Soul

Mark over at Easy Listening World has kindly posted the follow-up, ...Are Back.

That's a great sound. (I wonder what a Trivox looked like? Can't find any pictures of one on the web.

I don't know which part I like better, The Birds or The Brass.

One is nice to look at. The other is nice to listen to. Tough choice.

Thanks all the same for this tough choice, I-FE!
