  5. above comment is NOT FROM ME!

I am very scared now, as somebody is using my log-in name and writing obscene comments under my name. If you can check the IP, please do so, I need to know who that is and why.

Obviously somebody with a german keyboard and somebody who can write in german. If this is suppposed to be funny, I am not amused at all!

  6. Hi GW, sorry I can't see IPs or anything like that. Not sure what's going on. I would change your passwords ASAP.

  7. That won't help, because he is NOT using my account, but instead created another account with the same name plus 2 additional characters (in front and behind), so for google this is another account despite the same name. If you click on my profile, it will say it is private. Click on his, you will see a square-shaped character in front of Any and the same square shaped character behind Amerika. This is a letter that my computer can't recognize, therefore I see "square" as a replaement. maybe this is invisible by design.

Since he is using another account, changing my passwords won't do anything. But I might change my own name and see if he follows.

Could that be our "friend"? He is most likely a German, and this imposter used an Umlaut as well as a german line in one of his comments.

I just want to let everybody know that I would never leave any obscene comments anywhere. This is just not what I would do.

  8. Don't worry, GW. I know you wouldn't put anything like that. The comment has been deleted. I'll see if there's anyway that I can ban certain users. In the meantime I'll put the verification thing on.

  9. GW - here's the URL for the phony profile he set up:

Send to Google/Blogger abuse and detail your complaint. They should be able to identify him and shut him down.

  10. Swank Daddy, thanks for your tipp, I have already looked into that. Unfortunately this works only if he would impersonate me under my legal (real life) name. That name is nowhere online.

Blogger needs to see a legal ID before taking steps in this case, and I have to admit that "Any middle-aged german witch in Amerika" is not my real name, I have made it up...

I mean, I am really middle-aged, and I really am a german immigrant now living in the US, and I am of pagan faith, but still, that nick was made up and therefore it is neither my legal property nor my real name.

Now with comment moderation he can't get through here anymore, so maybe I can take my old nick back and we just move on. (And if I should ever meet him, I am going to kick his teeth out, seriously!)

  11. Well, that's my fault for not having moderation on the comments, still that's sorted now.

  12. So much for Blogger's terms of use. I guess you get what you pay for.

Yeah, probably it's our unhappy, self-hating little friend.
