Johnny Howard Orchestra - The World Of... (1970)

One of my absolute favourite albums EVER.  I really like this because Johnny tackles tracks that you rarely find on these sort of albums, Sugar Sugar and Ode To Billy Joe being just two.  Brilliant versions of Light My Fire and Aquarius too.  I really can't recommend this highly enough!  Superb!

Thanks VR. Back in the days when even cardigan wearers were funky! Best version of Sugar Sugar I've ever heard. Lovely stuff.

I also meant to say how unfortunate about that round label on the front of that lovely album, but I think you did the right thing by not trying to remove it as it would have probably damaged the cover.

Yeah, I always try and leave the price labels on (as I did with the Pete Moore "Exciting World" album) particularly if they're pre-decimal.

I have this CD and it is so refreshing to listen to this orchestra...Very very beautiful music....And different from other orchestras.

Odd selection of instruments in the orchestra but if makes for different listening.
