Roy Budd - Pick Yourself Up (1967)




















Nice little album produced by Tony Hatch.  Includes an early version of The Girl From Southend-on-Sea.  There's a superior version on Budd 'n' Bossa.

    The title track on this is amazing. It builds to a great finish. It was used as a closing theme by Alan Sykes on his BBC Radio Manchester breakfast programme in the early 1970s.
