    Very nice, I like these Phase 4 LPs, although I am not really clear what they were about.

    Is that just another term for 'quadrophonic', where you have 4 channels instead of 2, and you would need 4 speakers to hear the full effect?

    I assume that it is that, but I am too young to actually understand what this whole thing has been about back then.

    Thanks for a great Aldrich album I didn't have. I'm looking forward to listening to this one.

    @German Witch: "Phase 4 Stereo" was simply a catchy name Decca/London records came up with as part of their marketing scheme for a series of albums. They are standard 2 channel stereo recordings and you don't need 4 speakers.

    Thanks Swank for filling GW in there. It must have been a great marketing ploy at the time, blinding people with science and coming up with all these different names for stereo.

    I'm a sucker for them all though; Phase 4, Studio 2, CBS SuperStereo.
